Key Responsibilities

• Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure the uninterrupted supply of goods and services.
• Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, support, availability, reliability, and selection diversity to identify the most cost-effective deals and suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers, aiming to find the best possible deals without compromising quality or service.
• Manage the company's day-to-day purchasing activities and ensure that all purchasing agents are meeting their personal performance standards.
• Conduct regular supplier assessments and facilitate performance improvement activities, fostering long-term partnerships with key vendors.
• Collaborate with other departments, particularly the finance and sales teams, to forecast demand and ensure consistency between purchasing plans and business strategy.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Proficient with purchasing software and ERP systems, and MS Office Suite.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms and cost savings.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data to make informed purchasing decisions.
